B IS FOR...

Bonus Credits - Raceclubs own version of monopoly money, which can only be used within the game and only on certain things - buying a horse from the sales ring, tack products and supplementary fees.  You receive bonus credits in a number of ways:
-As sponsorship in races
-After achieving 50 wins in a season which is paid on each 50 wins during the season.
-After reaching 500 races in total again paid on each increment of 500 races.

Barrier Horse - One of the top horses in the game judging by the amount of races it wins.

Basket - The basket is where your purchases are stored before you confirm you want them - things like tack products and nominations.  A basket case is what you become when those nominations see your horse gets the worst jockey 5 times in a row.*

*Please note, you are just as likely to get the best jockey 5 times in a row.  And if you believe that…

B Rated.  As discussed in the A section there are 4 ratings of horses: A, B, C & D.  A & B rated are the Grade 1 horses with the B rated being the lesser of the two and the least popular.  To use an analogy:  You’re in a bar or club and you spot an attractive woman/man you like the look of talking to their friend who is maybe not quite as appealing.  So fancying your chances you wander over and start chatting to them both.  Several drinks and several hours later which man/woman do you wake up next to?  Yep the one you weren’t interested in - the B rated one.

Betting - Pretty self explanatory this one.  Betting is available on certain selected races each day via Ladbrokes.  These races are called Early Bird races and will be discussed later.  I can imagine that most of the people playing this game like a bet now and then.  To be honest, if you don’t like to gamble then you’re in the wrong place…

Blinkers - Blinkers are a hood that is used to aid horses during a race by removing visual distractions.  They are a tricky aspect of the game in that they can either in increase or reduce your horse’s ability.  The judgement of whether your horse has taken to them or not can also be difficult requiring several training runs before making a determination.  Blinkers are also apparently issued to the Raceclubs staff.
